What is Chiropractic?

Medicine is the study of disease and what causes man to die.  Chiropractic is the study of health and what causes man to live.

Chiropractic is a non-invasive, non-surgical, natural form of healthcare.  It respects the body and focuses on the healing process, rather than trying to attack disease via drugs or surgery.

As a Chiropractor, I view the whole person–taking structural, nutritional, chemical (or toxic status) into account, as well as emotional stress levels relative to each individual.

I don’t dissect the person by their symptoms, nor do I isolate body parts because the body is an interdependent whole unit.

I look at overall well being.

Because the spine houses the brain and the spinal cord, also known as the nervous system, a Chiropractor focuses on the health of the spine.

Through spinal adjustments, a Chiropractor removes interference to the body so that you can better adapt to stress and function optimally.

By maintaining a healthy spine with full mobility and agility, the nervous system is able to function at its full potential.

Therefore, Chiropractic care is one that honors the body and facilitates the healing process, rather than interrupt it.

“It is the job of the spine to keep the brain alert.  The moment the spine collapses, the brain collapses.” –B.K.S. Iyengar
